Florescence

The Finnish trio Elifantree will release their seventh album Florescence on May 8, 2026, during the cherry blossom season. The new album is a strong and multidimensional body of work that explores personal growth and flourishing.

Florescence is built around the metaphor of blooming into a flower. It portrays self-acceptance, the power of love and a wider perception of existence. The album’s themes also reflect the idea that flourishing is always an individual process: sometimes fleeting, sometimes long and layered. It is influenced by light and love.

The album’s creation process is also intertwined with the personal lives of the band members. All three musicians got children during the making of the record, which brings a new kind of sensitivity and presence to the music.

Elifantree— vocalist Anni Elif, saxophonist Pauli Lyytinen, and drummer Olavi Louhivuori— are known for their constantly evolving expression. The band’s energetic and unpredictable music moves along the boundary between precision and rawness, combining playfulness and strong expressiveness with fearless improvisation.
