By 1972, the band had reached a breaking point. After five years of relentless touring-defined by marat- hon three-to-four-hour performances delivered four or five nights a week-the collective was physically and creatively spent. The weight of expectation had become a burden; the band felt pressured to deliver ”maximum ecstasy” and total psychic immersion at every single gig. This period of high-intensity ”flipped out” performances culmina- ted in their final appearance at the Falun prison in July 1972, after which the members dispersed to refocus and recreate their individual artistic paths. The Recording A hybrid of studio precision and raw, live energy, Rock fo?r kropp och sja?l was captured partly at the iconic Studio Decibel and partly during their storied live excur- sions. This release includes a Bonus LP featuring essential live recordings from Denmark and Gothenburg, cap- turing the band”s improvisational prowess at its peak.
