Recordings for Jimi Hendrix’ debut album Are You Experienced had begun in late October 1966, producing a string of singles preceding the illustrious first album by the world’s most famous guitarist. While recording, the future working relationship between engineer Eddie Kramer and Hendrix was forged.

Are You Experienced, the debut album by The Jimi Hendrix Experience was released in the US with a different cover than in the UK and Europe. This edition of Are You Experienced is faithful to the original US release, and has the original artwork and the mono version.
